Happy Birthday to my cousin Phil Bohol! Let me just say that this guy is one of the most amazing people to have in your life. We go way back to freshmen year of high school, in my perspective he was this reserved dude in my freshmen committee who had this barrier around him and I was wondering why he was like that, so one day during PE class I asked my friend Mae Serrano more about him. Then she first had told me that he said that I was weird (JERK! lol just kidding), but that I shouldn’t have to worry about him being a little uptight. As time went on by, we were just mutual friends and later we got to hang out more because of the friends that we were around with in high school. Moreover, there were times where I wondered where he was because he didn’t come to school as much anymore. I think that was the point where I became more concerned about what was going on with him and he would somewhat open up to me, which made us closer in a way. We didn’t really hang out much then, but that didn’t really bother me at all because I knew he was a person that I could call up or text about any of the problems I’d have. Like I said, this dude is the person I can tell everything to; the small or big issues, things that have been worrying me, good things that happen to me and everything else in between. When I tell him all these things, he always gives well thought out feedback and it doesn’t feel bullshitted, which is a trait that  makes him a genuinely good friend. I won’t lie though, there were times where I’d feel like a burden cause I’d throw every little issue that I have at him and later I would feel like an annoying ass person. Anyway, Phil is way more than just a person you could vent to, he has a positive outlook on life and when he’s out with his friends; he tries to make sure that his friends have a good time even if he doesn’t. He’s just an all around positive person that I like to associate myself with. I call Phil my cousin because although we aren’t related by blood, he is a person that I look up to and inspires me to become a better person.
